AnthroCon 2003, The Aftermath

cyriljackalWell, to be honest, it was sort of dull. As per usual in my con going experience, met lots of people for about 2.5 seconds each, all of whom were going somewhere else I didn't want to go. People I DID get to spend more significant amounts of time with, GreySoul dragon, AkenAmenti the jackal, and Rossweisel the wolf were intersting. Greysoul had an honest talk while sitting on my lap in the lobby, some stuff I gree with, don't want to beleive, and know is true. From AkenAmeti and thus another jackal I sat with, I found we are NOT pack animals. As much as it may be nice to talk to another across the internet, we're not really made to gather. Sad in a way. And Rossweisel, he tricked me into dancing at Saturday night's rave and we went out to lunch the next day. I can see Ross becoming a good friend. For as wild he's seem with other more wreckless furs I see in him a decent fur.
In the charity auction I bought Mach's underwear. This tickled me to no end.
I've always liked Mach, and it had SueDeer and RoxiCat's art or the butt too. Plus it helped the auction, and even more so Trix was SqueekLaughing(tm) so much at each rising bid I had to do it. Hope Mach forgives my humor one day. But I mean, Who else could have done it?
I drew a couple things on the now very customized Lincon Continental that was being drawn on outside the con's parking lot. Immortalized forever.
Oh and I danced at the rave. This jackal don't dance unless he's got plenty of alcohol in him to reduce his inhibitions, but I did. Was fun and sweaty. Saw Perro, Snowie, and a couple other people there too, including Rossweisel who goaded me into dancing, that bitch.
My "Emotional Con Moment" that everyone seems to have gotten, including SilverMoonWolf and Yips and a couple others I know, came in the form of walking outside to put something in my car, and then walking unexpectedly right up on Xoa Gray, my ex boyfriend.
I tried to be flip, as often I am. But in seconds I was squeezing him tight and crying telling him how I missed him so much and how seeing him fixed something long broken. I really missed him, his voice and how he treated me. Even now he understood and let me sob on him. Things are not the same, but they are better now that I've seen him. Seeing him, and getting to talk to him and the rave were the two best things that happened to me there.
Some very good things.
A couple other good things that happend were Fredryk Phox giving me a pillow after I passed out on the floor of Caius and his room, Rossweisel simply indicating he might want to be better friends, and getting to see the handsome jackal AkenAmenti.
I don't know if I'll go next year, but this one gave me a few key things to remember, including knowing more about those people I DONT' want to associate with.
