This is something of interest to me that made me semi-rant on a web page, and I just wanted to re post something similar to it here. Ignore if you don't know or care about this subject.

It just kind of annoys me when people are like OMG WHAT COULD IT BEEEE??? as if there's been no precedents. People have no foresight, or rearsight at all, I swear.

During yesterday's Glenn Beck radio show Sarah had to be corrected by the co-host on the current hostilities between the two Koreas.

CO-HOST: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea? [...]

PALIN: But obviously, we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies. We’re bound to by treaty –

CO-HOST: South Korean.

PALIN: Eh, Yeah. And we’re al More..so bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

A slip of the tongue? Maybe. However, in John Heilemann & Mark Halperin's "Game Change", in regards to coaching Palin on history, politics and world affairs there was this telling point, which suggests otherwise.

"She knew nothing. She had to be taken through World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and Palin was not aware there was a difference between North and South Korea. She continued to insist that Iraq was behind 9/11; and when her son was being sent off to Iraq, she couldn’t describe who we were fighting."

I'd have to agree.

"Cut spending!... but continue the wars!"

"Defend the constitution!... But prohibit religions I don't like from building on private property!"

"Create Jobs!... But continue to support corporate interests that keep outsourcing jobs!"

"No more welfare!... But continue to defend 'free trade' that allows foreign goods to undercut American farmers and force them to rely on government subsidies!"

"No more 14th amendment!... but corporations should still be considered living human citizens!"

"No more government bailouts!... but oppose regulation that would prevent them and that would keep businesses from getting 'too big to fail'!"

"Don't redistribute the wealth!... but support tax cuts that continue to distribute it upwards"

"No policies we can't pay for!... but we need tax cuts we can't pay for after the last round of tax cuts we still haven't paid for."
